Hey there, and welcome to Dungeons N Caffeine! We're Carl and Lauren, the small, family team behind all the magic here. Think of us as your friendly neighborhood crafters, powered by a shared love for epic tabletop games and, of course, some really good coffee! Our big dream is to help fellow adventurers like you bring your own creative visions to life, one perfectly crafted accessory at a time.
Our Journey: A Little Bit of D&D, A Lot of Coffee, and a Spark
Dungeons N Caffeine really started quite naturally, bringing together the things we love most. Lauren, always a fan of tabletop games, started getting into Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. Meanwhile, Carl, who’d grown up with video games and loved listening to D&D podcasts on his travels, was diving headfirst into 3D printing. We had this "aha!" moment: why not combine these new skills and passions to make awesome dice masters for our friends?
And the "Caffeine" part? Well, that's pretty simple! Many a late-night gaming session (and a good few crafting sessions too!) were happily fueled by strong coffee. It just felt like the perfect fit for a name that clearly spoke to our D&D roots while also celebrating that vital fuel that keeps the adventure going.
Getting started had its moments, like figuring out the quirks of resin printing. But once we got the hang of it, we quickly realized how many fellow dice makers out there were looking for quality dice masters to create their own custom sets. Finding that niche, and seeing how much we could help, truly set Dungeons N Caffeine on its path!

Our Craft: Precision, Passion, and a Touch of Wizardry
You'll see our dedication to quality in every single item we make. We use really high-quality machines for our production, from precise resin printers for those intricate dice masters to our FDM printers for our sturdy dice towers and accessories.
When it comes to dice masters, we’re a bit particular – we swear by Siraya Tech Navy Grey resin. We've found it's simply the best consumer-grade resin out there for dice making, especially because it plays nice with silicone when you're curing your molds. This kind of attention to detail, right down to perfecting the polishing process, is how we make sure you get truly top-notch results.
Our Wider Story: A Family Rooted in Gaming
While Dungeons N Caffeine is our online crafting adventure, our love for gaming extends into the wider community too. Carl is the Operations Director and Lauren is a non-executive director for 'Cake or Dice', a fantastic not-for-profit board gaming café right here in Dundee. It’s a separate venture, but it's where we get to meet fellow gamers, host dice-making workshops, and even have a little space to show off some of our Dungeons N Caffeine creations to the café's lively D&D crowd. It was such an organic connection – we offered to make some custom dice for them, and less than a year later, we were officially part of the team! It truly underscores how deeply we're committed to the gaming world.
Meet the Team: The Family Behind the Magic
Dungeons N Caffeine is very much a family affair, bringing together our different strengths to create something special:
- Lauren – The Creative Spark: She’s the artistic heart of DNC, always bringing her creative flair to our designs. She's also the wonderfully friendly face of the business, always happy to chat with customers and make sure everyone feels right at home.
- Carl – The Master Maker: Carl is our technical wizard, mastering all the machines and meticulously perfecting processes like polishing. He's the one who ensures everything is made with precision and quality.
- The Wizard's Apprentice: And then there’s our son, who handles a lot of our media magic! Lauren often calls us the "Wizard and Witch of dice making," so he's naturally our "Wizard's Apprentice." He uses his fantastic artistic eye for product photography and graphics, making sure everything looks as amazing as it is.
